Please read and follow these rules to keep the community safe and fun for everyone.
The use of user-bots, scripts, macros, auto-typers, or any other tools that enable the automation of commands is strictly forbidden. This includes, but is not limited to, automatically claiming wild cats or repeatedly using commands like /work, /fish, and /explore. Additionally, excessive command or button spam will result in a ban from the bot. Being in a server where this activity is blatantly encouraged or practiced can also lead to a ban.
Abusing exploits or bugs to gain an unfair advantage is forbidden. All exploits and significant bugs should be reported to the staff in the Cat Bot Support Server so they can be fixed. Knowingly withholding information about an exploit, sharing it with others, or continuing to use it will result in a ban.
You may not lock Cat Bot's commands or features behind a paywall. This means you cannot require users to donate real money or subscribe to a service to access bot commands. The only exception is locking features behind Discord server booster roles. Using leveling systems to gate commands is acceptable, but you may not offer paid roles that accelerate leveling for bot-related perks.
We have a zero-tolerance policy for hate speech. Using racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexist, or other bigoted language and slurs within commands or directed at other players (e.g., after a failed /rob attempt) will not be tolerated and will result in a ban.
Using Cat Bot's features to advertise or promote anything is forbidden. This includes advertising other Discord servers, bots, social media, or products.
Cat Bot's currency (🌿 Catnip) and items are not to be traded for real-world money, cryptocurrency, Discord Nitro, or the currencies/items of other Discord bots. Engaging in any form of 'Real Money Trading' (RMT) will result in a permanent ban.
Using multiple Discord accounts (alt accounts) solely to generate profit through Cat Bot is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, using alt accounts to: Engage in repetitive actions (like excessive claiming or fishing) to earn Catnip or items for personal gain. Exploit features or commands to accumulate wealth or resources in a way not intended for individual enjoyment or community engagement. Facilitate trading of Catnip or items between multiple accounts for financial benefit.
When using /uploadcatimage, you must follow these guidelines: Images must be appropriate for all ages (SFW). No gore, violence, or sexually suggestive content. Submissions must be actual photographs of cats. Do not submit drawings, memes, or pictures of other animals unless a cat is the main subject. Do not spam the submission system. Abusing this system or submitting inappropriate content will result in a blacklist from the bot.
Using the bot to scam other players is strictly forbidden. Examples of scamming: Inviting a user to your rob-enabled server while claiming robbing is disabled, or agreeing to a trade and then blocking the user without fulfilling your part. What is NOT a scam: 'Market manipulation,' such as buying all of an item and re-listing it at a higher price, is a valid economic strategy. Use the Market: All trades should be conducted through the /market system. Any 'trust trades' made using the /pay command are done at your own risk and will not be protected or refunded. Loans are also not protected.
Starting or spreading harmful rumors about the bot, causing unnecessary drama, or harassing staff members or other players is unacceptable. This extends to our support server and report systems. Filing false or time-wasting reports can result in a ban.
By using Cat Bot, you agree to follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. This also applies to third-party services you may use in conjunction with the bot, such as voting on bot-listing websites (e.g., no voting with alternate accounts).
Constantly begging other players for Catnip or items is not allowed. Our community is a place for fun; treating other players with disrespect or being excessively toxic is not welcome and may result in a punishment at the discretion of the bot's administration.
